Since this itchy red rash on my face just won't seem to give up, mommy and I spent another day down in Rochester for allergy testing. I was VERY brave for my first blood draw. I even got to pick out a duckie from the toy bin! :-)

Mommy and I stopped and looked at the tulips on the way home...I was fascinated by the single colored one in the middle of all the white ones

I had an adventurous past week!

Mommy, Daddy, and I celebrated Mommy's first Mother's day :-) Then, I took my first airplane ride out to Seattle to accompany gramma Yudy at an angiogram. After a wonderful report from the cardiologist, we could relax and enjoy the week with family. I got SO much attention and had fun! I saw my auntie Kris and Uncle Bruce, spent time with my "nanny Janny," met my great Aunt Kathie, Uncle Mike, and second cousin Laura, and played with Gramma's doggie "Shadow." The highlight of my trip was meeting my Grandpa Jon and his friend Judy:-) He adored me and I was BEAMING when I saw him for the first time! Mommy and I had a wonderful week with family....we sure wish we lived closer!
Me and Grandpa Jon! :-)

I'm 6 months Old!!!

Since I talked to you all last, I have had my 1/2 birthday! yeeeaaaaaaay......I'm 6 months old!!!

According to my specialist, the worst of my Laryngomalacia has passed! Whew! Mommy and Daddy (and I for that matter) are finally starting to get some sleep at night and not worry so much! (Mommy says the worrying will NEVER stop, but atleast it is less now! hehe) I have survived having pneumonia and 2 bad colds (contracted from those germy kids at daycare of course) and according to my 6 month check up, I'm looking "GREAT". I no longer take naps in my swaddle, I can spin around on my belly, and have just recently started to babble....."da da da da da" is my favorite and Daddy just won't stop smiling! Yesterday (5/8/09) I got my "M's" down and was able to babble a little "ma ma ma" also! Mommy and daddy are just SO amazed! Now for the best part, I have graduated to eating 3 meals a day...pears, sweet potatos, squash, and cereal. As a matter of fact, I love them SO much, I have quickly bumped up to being in the 89th percentile for my weight. My Pediatrician says NO BIG DEAL, as I am perfectly proportioned to my 76th percentile height (I take after daddy!) Although I still am a bit top heavy...my head circumference is average (49th percentile)...It just looks more prominant because I don't have any hair! :-) They say the slower it comes in, the thicker it will be later on....sounds good to me! If I had any hair, I would probably hurt myself anyway because I sure LOVE to tug on mommy's! My favorite things these days are reading big picture books, watching Maddi and Kaiser, taking my bath, listening to mommy sing, talking with daddy, and believe it or not-sleeping! I'm getting really good at that! Mommy and daddy are learning that the Friend's cast was right......"NEVER WAKE A SLEEPING BABY!" I am starting to push my belly up off the floor and have been on all fours a couple of times. It won't be long now before I start crawling and mommy and daddy will have to get in shape to keep up with me!
I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy...we sure are!

I love this musical book!

I'm working really hard on learning how to sit, but occasionally I get a little top-heavy, so to keep mama sane, we still use the boppy pillow for a crutch!
