HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Thank you everyone for comments on blog, phone calls, and emails with words of encouragement! We are doing great!
We are quickly learning to accept there must be a reason for the wait.....and it's teaching us PATIENCE! I'm sure we will need this over the next 18 years...and then some! :-)
While hanging out at home, waiting for our little miracle to arrive, (for the first time EVER,) I actually heard Mike say last night that he is BORED. So funny, because we usually cherish our time to just watch TV and enjoy relaxing.....now we are just so excited to meet Kiera that the quietness and calmness is driving us crazy.
Honestly, the waiting has been really good as hard as it has been! We've had a lot of time this week to just spend quietly together...talking, looking at my belly move, reflecting on our marriage, on the miracle growing inside of me, and how we vow to be the best parents we can to our baby girl.
God definitely has planned this out right as hard as it is to wait!
We promise to share pictures and stories as soon as she arrives!

40 weeks...3 days...WHAT??? I thought they said it was only "9 months"

Well, it's Kerri here...finally gave Kiera the boot because she's apparently pretty happy where she's at and thought I should put my 2 cents in. :)

Had to do a little shopping and go out to lunch yesterday after hearing the news that after 4 days of contractions/cramps/back pain/and headaches....I am dilated to 0....that's right........ZERO!!!! I was under the impression she stripped my membranes last week....but she did not. She said she just "stretched things" a bit. No stripping of membranes today either because my labor has not started at all and it "wouldn't do anything." Apparently you have to be a little dilated atleast a little in order to strip them.....and I'm tight as a drum. Mike is getting frustrated too now...(not because I'm uncomfortable, agitated, anxious, annoying and completely swollen....but because he is "running out of pink" to wear everyday! HAHAHA... I'm serious...he actually said that....but seriously, he is mostly frustrated because he just wants to meet and hold his baby girl....and says we've waited long enough!!!! I bet he's also tired of waking every time I flop over in bed, hearing me snore, and rubbing my feet-trying to trigger the so called "pressure points" that I now believe are a complete crock.
So, I will be admitted Sunday night for a cervical "ripening" potion and balloon catheter in my cervix, then have an intoxicating inducing dose of pitocin infused into my veins Monday morning if nothing happens sooner. Hopefully it does, and I will definitely keep you posted! I finally gave up working....I've had cramps keeeping me up the last 2 nights and I am hitting a wall.

Hope to send out good news sooner, otherwise on Nov 3rd, I plan to lose a few pounds, be feeling like a million bucks....swaddling a little TINY(yeah, right) baby girl :-)

Please pray for Kiera to make a smooth entrance into this crazy world!

39 weeks, 3 days.....4 days to go!!!

Boy, have we had a couple of hectic weeks....sorry I haven't been in touch. We are finally getting all settled into our new home again and I am ready to make my grand entrance SOON! For those of you who haven't been updated, mommy and daddy became very sick in the new home with asthma and allergies. Turns out it had MOLD in the carpet! eeeeeeeeeeeek. Thank goodness I was still tucked away in my little happy place :-) After moving furniture out, replacing the carpet, and moving back in.....we are FINALLY settled in again. My room is all ready to go and pretty soon I'll be snuggling with mommy and daddy for REAL! Mommy had her weekly appointment today where Dr. Boldt said I could arrive "any day now!" I can't wait!!

Here's a picture of mommy at 39 1/2 weeks......could be the last one you see of her with me still inside....we'll see :-)!

37 WEEKS, 2 days!!!

Hello! I have some incredible news to share......I am FINALLY considered FULL TERM!!!! Yahoooooooooooooooooooooooo! The good news is, if I arrive now, my lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though my due date is still 19 days away. I now weigh approximately 6 1/3 pounds and measure over 19 inches, head to heel. Things are getting a bit tight in here and I'm just about ready to pop out and meet you all! Mommy and I have felt some "Braxton Hicks" contractions off and on the past couple of weeks which apparently is her body's way of training for the big event! I sure can't wait to meet Maddi and Kaiser too, they have been really curious and I need to claim my territory in the new house! By the way, we are getting all settled in to our new home in Farmington, MN. Mommy has been cleaning, washing, organizing.........preparing my "nest." It will soon be all ready for my arrival. Daddy has been working VERY hard and is looking forward to a nice 2 week break to spend with me and mommy SOON! We'll keep you posted as the time gets near! Take care everyone and keep your eye on this site....a picture of me will be posted before you know it!
